Now we are going to talk about CD-Roms and Floppys, Theres not alot to say about CD-Roms but you will need one to boot your computer, And you will need a floppy if you are going to load Windows95 and Windows98 or WindowsMe, But not if you are going to load WindowsXP all you will need is a CD-Rom.

Ok lets start with CD-Roms they come in a lot of styles like CD-Rom, CD-Burner, DVD-Rom, DVD-Burner and combos DVD+CD-Burner. Just like Hard Drives they can be installed in single or dual setups, Just be sure to connect the cable to IDE-2 and do not for get to connect the sound cable to the sound connecter on your sound card or motherboard.

And now we come to the floppy like I said at the top this drive is mainly used today for loading Older Windows, 95,98 and Me And some times for moving small files from one computer to another, But now most people use a CD-Burner for that I think the floppy will soon be apart of history you do not need it to load WindowsXP.
