PS & Cases
Ok it is know time to talk about the power supply's and cases, These are two of the most important parts of your new computer so lets get started.

Power Supples
First the power supply or ( PS ) as it is known, The PS comes in two types the old AT and newer ATX, We are building a new computer so all we care about is ATX, And they come in two types P4-Ready and AMD-Approved, You should only buy a P4-Ready for the simple reason that the AMD-Approved ones Will not work with P4 motherboards it is missing a plug, But a P4-Ready one will work with AMD or P4 motherboards , I say buy the P4 one that way you will be ready for what ever motherboard you pic AMD or Intel, Power Supples range in size from 145Watts to 550Watts I use 400Watts, How big or small your PS is depends on how much stuff you are going to run, Stuff like CD-Roms and DVDs if you are going to have one or two of them so get a big one and you will be ready for anything.

Cases
It is now time to talk about cases there are two types AT and ATX, Again we will only cover ATX because AT is old and we are building new, If your old case is ATX you will not need to buy a new one, If it is AT then you will need to get a new one look at the back of your computer dose it look like the picture if so it is ATX.
