AGP , PCI and ISA Cards
The only absolutely essential card is your graphics card. Your PC won't boot without one. The good news is that they all go in the same way. Grab your graphics card and find the correct-size slot. If you are going with All-in-one motherboard graphics are on the board no need for a card.

Card slot colors
The ISA slots are bigger and usually black. PCI slots are white or tan. AGP slots are the smallest and usually brown and closest to the processor.

Install a card

1. Remove the cover from the appropriate expansion slot (on the back of the computer case) with your Phillips screwdriver, but don't lose the screw! You'll need it.

2. Line up the card so that the monitor connector's will stick out of the expansion slot you just opened. Gently but firmly snap the card into the slot. Be absolutely sure the card is all the way in. Although the back plate lines up with the expansion slot, the card might not be firmly in place. There's a small chance you could short out your card and your mb if the card is only half in.

3. Take that screw you didn't lose and use it to fasten the card into place. It'll screw on just like the expansion slot cover.

Repeat steps
Perform the same procedure for all of your cards, and make sure they're snug. Some require power connection's or other cable connections.

Get to know your connectors
Once you get the cards in, make sure you know which is which from the outside of the case. Take a minute to study the connectors that stick out of the back of the case. Learn what they're for.

All done
Now all your cards are installed
